Thank you Scott for pulling us out of the noise. We were operating QRP from our camp site at Canyon Camp Boy Scout Camp near Stockton, IL www.canyoncamp.org. The scouts on hand for the QSO were amazed and some have been inspired to get their ticket!

Enjoyed contact with Scott on Sunday evening (0217UTC) on 7.240. N0C had a very good 5X9 signal here in Central Texas..Lago Vista, TX 25 miles NW of Austin.
We wish all Olympians from Nebraska the best.
I was born in Scottsbluff and also lived in Peru, NE. and also lived on a ranch in the sandhills south of Alliance before moving to Texas.

Hello,
I made contact with Scott at about 01:15 23.July.2008 UTC. I was operating on battery power in a Chicago city park running 35 watts with my FT817 and HFPacker amp into an MP-1 vertical antenna on top of the picnic table!

We want to send our condolences to you for the death of your father. Though many of us never knew him personally, he was an icon on the IRLP repeater happy to spend time with anyone who would say hello.
